Based in Utah, artist Hannah Nielsen explores the artistic and conceptual intersections between craft and fine oil painting. After obtaining her BFA in Illustration and Concept Design from Brigham Young University, Hannah began working towards her MFA at the University of Utah. She has since been featured in exhibitions at the Southbend Museum of Art, the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Artists of Utah 35x35 exhibition. In addition to her art practice, Hannah is also currently involved as an Exhibition Assistant at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, where she assists with the daily function of the Museum and works closely with the Collections department. While already a long-time museum enthusiast, her working experience at the UMFA has been a significant and influential career highlight. Hannah is currently focusing on finishing her MFA thesis show, which will be exhibited to the public in May of 2021.
